Indoor unit
The indoor unit contains a smaller evaporator coil, a blower motor and the control board. For a working AC, the indoor unit's appearance and electronics matter for reuse. For scrap, it carries less material value than the outdoor unit.

Split AC uninstallation and pickup in Mumbai buildings
Mumbai's building layouts make split AC pickup a little different from other appliances. Outdoor units are often placed on narrow ledges, on window grills, on a common terrace, or on a bracket outside the bedroom wall. When you enquire, please mention:
- Whether the AC is still installed or already removed.
- Where the outdoor unit is mounted and how it can be reached.
- The floor number and whether there is a lift.
- Any society rules on timing for work or moving items.
